Total Guitar have interviewed Chris Shiflett about his bands new album, and also a bit about foo.
Here's what he said about the foos..
"We're supposed to start really recording at the beginning of September," says Chris. "We did about a week and a half of rehearsals already, we're about to do another week or so starting tomorrow, then we have a couple more weeks of rehearsals and demos starting in August. Then in September we'll start recording it for real."
Dave Grohl has already stated that he intends the new album – which will be produced by Nirvana's Nevermind producer Butch Vig - to be "the heaviest yet" and according to Chris, this is looking likely. "We've done about 9 or 10 songs so far – it's all really rocking! I think that's where Dave's songwriting is right now. He wants to make a rocking record, so that's what it'll be."
Total Guitar also say to look out for thier full interview with Chris in a forthcoming issue.

Chris Shiflett has spoke with NME about his side project Chris Shiflett & the Dead Peasants...
"One of my favourite kinds of music is old country and old rockabilly and modern Americana like Sun Volt, Wilco and Ryan Adams, I love all that stuff," he told NME. "There's really no real big loud Les Paul pumping through a Marshall amp kind of moments on this record. It is so far from anything I've been a part of with Foo Fighters and it was just really fun to do."
"I'd never heard that track before ['Burning Lights' - Joe Strummer] but I instantly fell in love with it and thought that would be a good cover because no-one is going to know it, I never referenced the original when we were recording it and I recently went back and listened to it and there were a couple of parts where I totally fucked up the melody. I was like 'Argh I didn't do that, I should have done that, it sounded so much better the way Joe did it'."
"I started doing some Americana shows with some friends and that kind of evolved into recording some demos. We did that and I thought, 'Well I've got this studio at my disposal, let's go make a record and see what happens"
"I always write from personal experience so there's a lot of love songs on there and there's a lot of songs about death because a few friends and relatives of mine have died over the last few years. Melodically it is not dark but lyrically it's pretty sad."
And as like I said in a prevous post , the album is due to be out on 12th July 2010.

First piece of news, Dave Grohl will be presenting a 1 hour radio show about John Bonham's life, his drumming in Led Zeppelin and to his death on September 25th 1980. The show will be broadcasted on Monday 31st May, 15:00 on BBC 6 Music.
"Rock superstar and lifelong Led Zeppelin fan, Dave Grohl, celebrates a man who the Encyclopedia Britannica describes as "the perfect model for all hard rock drummers that have followed." "
It should be avaible on iplayer for a week after it is broadcasted, but i'm not sure if it is available for people outside of the UK.

June 2nd at the White House there is a Paul McCartney tribute concert, Dave will be performing there. Other names on the lineup include Jack White, Stevie Wonder, Emmylou Harris and Elvis Costello.
Paul McCartney is set to receive the third Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the president.
The show will be broadcast at 8pm (EDT) on PBS TV stations across the US.
Now a bit more news about the new foo album, Taylor has said to Xfm that the new foo album might not be their heaviest record yet. He has said that it is too early to tell how it will turn out.
“You’ve got to be careful, you’ll eat your words. Next thing you know we’re playing with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and it’s not the hardest record we’ve ever made, it’s the most ‘symphonic record. Anything can change with our band. In the past we’ve recorded albums twice, finished whole records worth hundreds of thousands-worth of dollars... only to re-record it in a week in Dave’s basement. You never know how it’s going to end up”

Taylor Hawkins has told Spinner that Foo Fighters will have a new album out in 2011.
"So the record will definitely be out in 2011? "Absolutely," Hawkins says. "It's very much in the beginning stages but we have a very strong start and we're excited. They're really cool songs. I know its going to be great." "
He also said that they have already started to demo some songs.
"In all honesty, Dave's got 15 or so song ideas that are awesome and we've already demoed some of them twice even
"We do a lot of demoing to find exactly the arrangements we want, getting them exactly how we want them. It's a large process for us. It takes a long time to do it. We don't just say, 'OK, let's go make a record and pop in the studio and record it just like that.' There's a lot of preproduction that goes into making a Foo Fighter record. Well, so far."
"All that stuff in the past, it's proven to be recharging," he says. "As long as everybody's ready, as long as we don't do it because we feel like we have to, like because the record company wants another record, that kind of crap never makes good music. I'm sure there are exceptions, but for the most part, you want everybody to really want to be doing it. Especially Dave, because they're his songs. If he's excited and really wants to do it -- and he appears to -- we're in great shape. We'll have a new record in a year."

Hi, this is my new foo site,
I decided to have a website as well just to make it a bit more interesting. But everlong was already taken so i thought why not just have a new name. So i did. Enough Space, i chose that because firstly i love the song and also because here there's probably enough space for me to keep talking.
So here i will post any Foo Fighters news as i already do on the forum. I have also changed the twitter name from everlongforum to foo_fansite.
I think that this site will make it easier to find news and info. I've heard from lots of you on twitter that you like me posting the links on twitter, so i'm definitly continuing with that.
I hope to build this site up, to have lots of interesting news for you to read about, and i hope you enjoy the site.
